THANK YOU
Thank you to our church family for all your prayers, phone calls, flowers, and meals. The surgery to remove my right kidney went very well. I’m still on antibiotics and spoke to the doctor about this infection that I thought would be gone by now. We are still studying why this is happening. Thank you once again.

BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OPENING
Open Gate Ministries here in Dinuba has an opening on its Board of Directors, and they’d like someone from our church to fill it. For many years, Kathleen Kelley from our church has served on this board. The Board of Directors meets the fourth Thursday evening of every month, and each board member is the head of a committee. Questions? Call Roger Neufeld at 305-3433 or Kathleen Kelley at 638-0081.
CONCERT
The Cutler Baptist Church has invited us to a concert on Sunday, September 7, at 5 p.m. “Amazing Grace” will be singing. Bring your favorite dessert for the social after the concert.
THELMA MOORE
Thelma Moore has come home from the hospital and is under hospice care for several days each week. Her family needs to watch her the rest of the week. If you can volunteer some time to stay with Thelma while Royal works, talk to Royal or call him.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Awana Is Off to a Great Start!
Praise the Lord for all of the children who registered for Awana this past Wednesday! This week at Awana is “Get To Know Your Leader Night.” Clubbers love learning more about their leaders. Club begins at 6:15 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. Awana is a great ministry for children 3 years old (must be potty-trained) through sixth grade. Children learn Bible verses, play games, and make new friends. Invite your friends to join us!
Whacky Kids for Christ Choir
The Whacky Kids for Christ Choir will begin on Wednesday, September 17. It will run from 5:15-5:45 p.m. on Awana Wednesdays. The choir is for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Mary Carter is the choir director and Carol Turner is the pianist. This is a fun way for the children to praise the Lord in song!
Special Friends
Sunday School Class
Special Friends is a Sunday school class designed to introduce the love of Jesus to children with special needs. If you are interested in helping in this ministry, please talk with Robin Tucker. This class meets upstairs in the first classroom on the left in the Children’s Department during both Sunday morning services.
DISCIPLE DEN
YOUTH MINISTRY
Tonight
The Secret Is Finally Out
Have you or someone you know ever felt trapped in an out-of-control life? Join us with either your favorite drink or buy one at our shack as we hang out for a cool hour as we kick up our feet and discuss how to deal with loneliness from Matthew 10:29-31.
Wednesday
Pork & Beans
and Serving Jesus
All month we have discussed how helping others find Christ can make an amazing make-over to our hearts spiritually. But the Lord’s concern is not just for you and a few friends; it’s for the entire world. But how do we reach the entire world? For this answer and more join us upstairs in the Disciple Den as we hang out making friends, laughing in crazy games, and growing in our walk with Christ. Invite a friend as we close out our monthly topic called “RENOVATE.”
